  • 1.  : Guidance Needed – APS → REPAY Conversion (v2016 & v2020 Upgrades)

    Posted 09-18-2025 18:45

    Hi all,

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. The support I've gotten so far from REPAY has been frustrating , they told me I need to upgrade Sage 100 step by step (2019 to 2020 to 2021),..  really!!

    Here's the situation:

    • Two immediate upgrades: one from v2016 and one from v2020.

    • Both systems were using APS with the 531 developer code.

    • I've successfully upgraded the base Sage versions without issue.

    • I'm stuck on migrating APS to REPAY along with making the 531 → 568 change.

I already have the v2025 version of REPAY installed, but the conversion routine isn't kicking off-or I'm missing a step. The manual seems to skip over these details.

Has anyone gone through this process and can share the right steps or instructions?

Note: both Brittany and Bladmir are no longer with Support, so we don't have them as a resource.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Jim, Whenever I upgrade an old version of APS to the most current version of Repay I always have to look at the previous Sage version and re-enter many of the Repay setup options.

Correction - I outlined Accounts Receivable in red however, the Repay options are in Library Master.

Thanks Doug, that pointed me in the right direction. None of the REPAY items were showing on my menu, so I ran the SY_MENU_UI program from File|Run  to reset things. That cleared out the old APS and menu tasks..

After that, I re-installed the REPAY programs and suddenly all the REPAY menu items appeared under Library Master  Setup and Utilities.

Next step is to run the REPAY Payment Option menu and enter the new API key. Hopefully that will get everything connected and working. We'll see if that does the trick.

    Thanks for the reply

Also check AR setup payment type maintenance and make sure that looks the same also.  It seems that many fields don't migrate which is troublesome.

After you get things set up with the new API key(s), run a small test transaction.  We were given an incorrect code once... a mistake by the Repay support contact for the upgrade. (How does that happen?!?).

Also pay special attention to the currency that the transaction actually gets processed in, if you have Multi-Currency and Repay both installed.  (That was another support adventure after an upgrade involving Repay...).

Great info - thanks!! I documented this and included some additional links to articles we created on how to uninstall APS/Repay - this is in our Content Library at - How To Upgrade From APS ( American Payment Systems ) to Repay - 09-19-2025
