Growth Zone - Final Details

    Hello everyone

    I have concluded my negotiations with GrowthZone and feel very comfortable moving forward. 

    First, some additional details: 

    • This will replace our calendaring and events on HigherLogic
    • This will not replace our MOTM Mobile App
    • This can replace Survey Monkey and MailChimp (but both still may be utilized in the immediate future)
    • It will take 3-4 weeks to complete migration and site build
    • This does include a website with 5 custom built webpages we can customize
    • I will eventually need additional and ongoing WordPress support to keep the site up to date and relevant
    • We can add a tracking and a continuing education module at $49 a month - which I want to do - but recommend waiting until January 2022. 

    Here is the cost breakdown comparison to what we have now.

    Remains Intact (no pun intended)

    HL Event Calendar

    Due now - Not worth it - should be replaced

    Given the timing and lower proposed cost to start - I recommend this go to motion and we move forward.  Growthzone worked with me on the start-up (reducing it almost 50%) and the monthly (reducing it by $200 a month).  So this is our final pricing now.

    Yes. But I'm unclear about Mobile access.

    I might have it wrong, but many members access HL via phones. If true, will this affect that?

    Hi Jerry 

    It has been my impression (including my own use) that HL is mostly utilized through a web browser.  Are you using a mobile app to access HL?

    That said - GZ does have a mobile app that can be utilized to login and access all records, etc. which is included.

    Hi! The only question I have is if the cut-off between stopping some of the HL subscriptions and picking up the Growth Zone subscriptions lines up, meaning that we won't be paying for both as we finish out the required HL subscription. If that is the case then I vote yes as GZ is a lower cost and provides additional benefit.

    Great question Kate - I am working on cutting off the HL calendar function immediately.   I can go around it until we get our AMS up and running.  I have a call with HL to see if we can subscribe monthly in the alternative.  I will update as soon as I know.

    Hi everyone

    I have an update from HigherLogic - although not the best update - it is what it is.  We have signed a 3-year contract with HigherLogic on all modules through next year.  There is a minimum of 60 days before annual renewal to cancel any of these modules.  So next year - it is worth noting we would need to cancel in June 2022 or there will be an automatic contract renewal.   There seems to be absolutely no negotiating with them on this contract so my hands are tied. 

    I do not think this should prevent us from moving forward.  The costs will be higher this year but then by next year - will be reduced (see below)

    So here are the new numbers
