Good Morning everyone...we are back!!!!! Has anyone ever tried or worked with adding a table that has the budget by Product Line per Fiscal Year....Customer would like to have budgets in for units and dollars per product line...I thought that maybe a couple of UDFs might be able to accomplish it......any thought????

I've done salesperson and customer, same idea. I had to have 12 per file (they want it by month)

I did something similar for budgets for sales by customer for the Customer Sales History report. Used UDT with appropriate data for each period then added the table to the report.

Could this also be managed in Excel combined with Sage Intelligence? My concern with UDT and Sage is you likely have to VI into the table (unless they have a lot of free time or are very proficient).

In this case they would like by product line.... so it is fairly maneagable....

If the amounts vary by month, 12 UDF's (per metric) would be a very good idea to avoid complications at month end.

@LourdesSobrino have you considered using Non-Financial Accounts in G/L? You could capture Sales and qty sold with a Crystal Report and post them as JE's. Then use Sage Intelligence to print comparative and budgeted statements.
