    Is it possible to create a global look ups that are a.) available to everyone and \ or b.) available to only certain users.

    Library Master, Main, User Lookup Wizard allows you to create global look-ups for selected users.

    Be sure to name the Lookup something different than what any users currently have, as it will overwrite it.

    In User Maintenance there is a Customization Group field.  If you assign users the same customization group name, the customization group appears as a selection in the user code list in the User Lookup Wizard.  Using Customization Groups allows you to assign a group of users the same look-ups.

    To add to the others...  They have added the lookup wizard button to the bottom of all the ALE screens.  I find this very helpful vs finding the one I am looking for in the long (similarly named) list.

    Am I reading in @Michelle Taylor's post there is a way to create the "all" user "all" company lookup without loosing the currently configured "custom" lookups of the individual user?  My experience is when you setup a common, all of the individual customized setup by the user are lost.​

    Well, I'm not certain if all existing individual ALE's are lost when a global one is created.  My experience has only been when one of the same name is created. I'm going to test this!

    What I've just found is that when a Global Lookup is created [in GL Account Maintenance] from the Lookup Wizard button at the bottom left of the lookup screen, the Standard Lookup was replaced.  The Wizard does not allow the new ALE  (Alternate Lookup Engine) to be named, therefore it is replacing the Standard.  There can be multiple ALE's for different User/Company combinations.  None of the existing ALE's were affected - good news.
