GL Exchange - version 2013 - can't get the Transaction Import to import. Parameters: Don't allow out-of balance, don't create accounts. Standard Format. Attached samples are from ABX company, as the client has 10 character GL accounts. Got a copy of their source file and modified the account numbers to test. The JE is in balance. Have tried .XLSX, .XLS, .CSV. Any thoughts?

Got it to work by changing the format of the dollar amount for negatives to minus sign from parentheses. Still got the first messages about the Account Number missing, but at least it imported. In balance.

I like VI for Journal and transaction entries.. But you obviously need to have VI. Jim

I got rid of the Account Number missing messages by deleting a whole bunch of blank rows in the source file, too. In this case, someone else built the Exchange template for them. A new person generated the source file in this case. I also like VI - Exchange import logs are so useless when there's a failure.
