Getting the Connection failure to host message. Customer is running 4.50. We had switched to application instead of service. But phantom user kept locking available users. (32 users installation) . Would love to get back to running as service, but without the connection error. Any suggestions????

    1. Are you running as an application now? 2. Does it run at all - does the message only come up sporadically? What's the exact message? I've used these tips before: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s270/sh/18047ea4-2243-4af9-b0c6-bf5e3194fccd/cb351fd09b14e545b703c206b9b7ccc4 https://www.evernote.com/shard/s270/sh/40645974-9ab2-4a6e-aab4-678003d19f80/c555dc5e89a5fc6adac553dd2d2e469d

Generally I have found that over 20 (+/-) users on Sage 100 Advanced and you're better off running as an Application. I've had end users running fine as a service then they upgrade and suddenly this issue appears. It's very frustrating especially since some of the upgrades really don't have any feature benefits.

Switched back to application today. When running as service, the error is sporadically. Will read in detail your tips..I will also forward them to the IT guy. I don't handle hardware config...only MAS200...Thanks.

Ultimately what appeared to work for us was making registry changes to enhance the available memory - even though all conventional wisdom said that it should not be required.
