Get ready for the next joy of forced upgrades directly onto servers. Any customer (most) who has tightened server security is also either blocking or significantly impacting your ability to download EXE files. Build in a couple hours of happy interaction with the IT folks for downloads. May at some point make sense to require customers to have your drop box (or favorite cloud file storage) onto their server to bypass the nonsense of security for downloads. This may not happen on every customer but I'm willing to bet it will be enough to be very annoying.

I'm seeing quite a bit more of it as well. Especially in hosted and/or outsourced IT situations.

We switched to Citrix ShareFile last year and will have our own ""Storage Zone"" this year. We can have (and offer) unlimited users with costs determined by number of admins and amount of storage. Now all of our projects transfer files and share workplans and other documents with this technology. By the middle of the year a customer's MAS Shared Folder should be accessible by the ShareFile client, browser client or explorer plug in at no additional charge unless they want to administer access at a granular level.

I wasn't pointing a finger at @GaryFeldman. The problem only happens with those other IT people.

In all seriousness, one of our customers just switched to I-BN from another hosting provider. They described it as the smoothest transition they have ever made.

Both. We both put in quite a bit of planning effort.
