General question for you all - What non SPS credit card processor are you using? Have a client that went with Verosa and it has been a trial. Still not working after many months.

If you are going to go with any other processor I'd go with APS.

I have had good luck with American Payment (APS) as well. Patty Benitez is your point of contact. (773) 892-7817 Direct (888) 685-1900 Main

APS is the right way to go. We use them internally and have multiple customers on it. There are partner residuals also

We have a client that went with Century; Client is happy, but Century would not give use the margin that SPS was giving us. Their reason was that Century called the client directly so we did not deserve any margin.

    My vote would be APS.

I had a client want to try Verosa as they have aggressive price savings, but their integration with Sage leaves a lot to be desired and they decided to stay with Sage Payment Solutions. We also have a client using APS but I think there have been some challenges and they haven't fully switched yet.

SPS has been great for us

APS and Century. Beware though. We just learned (the hard way) that Century requires a CardID code. This did not work with the existing workflow for our client who simply entered the Card Type (Visa/MC ...) which popped the Sage Exchange screen for entry of card#/exp/CVV. We had to undo Century. Not pretty. Thankfully all happened over Thanksgiving weekend and though client was minimally affected, I was not. Demand a demo to ensure workflow is not compromised. I don't know if APS requires the CardID.

Another resource is Miah Green. one of our affiliates from VIP Integrated Payments. He's worked at SPS, worked closely with APS and knows lots about both sides and what will and won't work. His contact info is in our 90 Minds Affiliate List but for convenience: Miah Green 208-503-0561 https://vipintegratedpayments.com/

Just a side note regarding Century, I've never worked with them personally however the only time that I've run into their solutions is when people have called DSD thinking that an issue that they were having was related to one of our products and I've had several occasions where Century was the culprit. Strange things too like you can't copy a company in company maintenance. If you search the Sage KB for ""century"" Sage has a lot of known errors where Century is the cause. I've not seen anything similar with APS.

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the info. The client is committed to Verosa at the moment, but want to be ready with a replacement if they decide to bail. Thanks Again!

I have 2 customers using Century, and while there were errors early on, things are pretty quiet now. Thought I'd try them for myself, but changed mind as there were too many fees... so never sent in final paperwork. Been getting debited $50/month Inactivity fee since Sept., and nobody at Century is competent enough to close the account and issue refund.

@MarkKotyla - That sounds like what happened to us with SPS. Currently using Square for our in-house stuff - no enough CC usage to care about integration.

Greg, there are quite a few Sage 100 users with APSPays. ASI wrote the integration and it works well. We've been exceedingly pleased with APS' customer support and pricing, also. There are other 90Minders who can speak about it without any bias. :-) It's definitely worth checking out. Patty Benitez is probably the one to contact for more information: pbenitez@apsmerchants.com.

Internally I'm using Square for one-off support from non-customers. There's no recurring fee and I create an online site that I send them a link to pay. Practically nobody thinks their quick question should require payment so my Square use is generally a quick way for me to get out of the ""oh hi Wayne, I used to be a reseller and I have a quick question"" or ""Hi, I found you on the internet and we never need to call or ask a question about Sage. Can I ask you a quick question?"".

Fwiw - Century Business Solutions is now an Affiliate member. We have 3 cc processors this year, APS, Century and VIP Integrated Payments. APS and Century are both Silver level sponsors for MOTM, they'll each be giving 15 minute presentations at the event and will be available from Thursday's Meet & Greet through Saturday's dinner if you are looking to have conversations with them, or any of our Affiliate members. Many of you might know Miah Green (with VIP) already from last year's event, he's not presenting but will be attending and available too to help with any questions or issues.
