FYI...SWK to take on Hightower's enhancements. I just received this email from Alex at SWK this afternoon. Dear Valued Customers & Partners: SWK Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Point of Sale Professional, Time & Billing Professional, Timekeeper, Multi-Bin Advanced Distribution, Direct Deposit and several others into SWK's enhancement portfolio. SWK's experience, technical strengths and vision will take these enhancements for Sage 100 ERP (F/K/A MAS90/200) into version 4.5 and beyond. If you previously had a maintenance plan with Hightower that expired up to 3 months back or coming up for renewal 3 months in advance, you can expect to receive a renewal notice from SWK within the next 3 weeks. During the ramp-up period, all late fees for renewals will be waived (expiration back or forward within 3 months of today). SWK will offer annual maintenance plans with or without technical support. Timekeeper, Time & Billing Professional and Direct Deposit are available for immediate release in Sage ERP 100 version 4.5. Multi-Bin Advanced Distribution for version 4.5 is scheduled to be released on May 15th 2012; Point of Sale Professional is expected for release on or about July 15th 2012. We will keep you informed should these dates be moved up, or if we provide additional service updates. Is it likely that SWK will be easier to work with and do a better job with these products? I would certainly like to know how realistic they think their release dates are. Especially POS.
