Fyi, Tax Class issue in J/C Job Billing Entry
In 4.5.4 and 4.40, the system allows entry of an invalid Tax Class on the Lines screen. A message does appear, ""Missing tax class XX in tax code XX"", but you're able to continue and eventually click Accept. However, upon printing the Job Billing Register, you can't Update: "" unable to update job billing register: An error in the tax structure has been found in job: - "".
In 4.30, the system wouldn't even let you enter an invalid Tax Class. Apparently Sage decided to put a warning message on that field if an invalid value was entered, but in doing so, it broke something else (i.e. it now allows an invalid value in 4.40 and 4.5.4).
It is being submitted as a ""defect"" so hopefully we'll see it resolved soon, either via a Hot Fix or Product Update.
