Introducing Paya Connect Desktop
Effective June 17, 2019, Paya is releasing Paya Connect Desktop (PCD), formerly known as Sage Exchange Desktop (SED). This rebranding coincides with the latest release of Paya's leading virtual terminal technology that includes P2PE support and other great feature enhancements!
When users upgrade from previous versions of SED, they will see the new product name and updated logos displayed throughout the user interface reflecting the Paya brand. While users are not required to upgrade their software, doing so will allow them to take advantage of new features and security enhancements. There are no anticipated service interruptions when clients upgrade to PCD and no functionality will be lost.
Paya now supports a new card reader device, the ID Tech SREDKey Key Pad, that allows clients to accept PCI Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) keyed and swiped transactions.
Grace Period for Mandatory Releases: new releases may be optional or mandatory. In the past, if a new release was mandatory, the user had no choice but to install the new release. With this release, we introduce the notion of a "Grace Period" which will allow a user to delay the installation of a mandatory release for a pre-defined number of days.
For questions regarding upgrading to PCD, please contact (800) 261-0240.
