Oh, I like the change for sure, as long as all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed.
The installer used to ask the same type of questions, but ignored the install type, and used the version (Standard/Advanced/Premium) the keys were for.
I guess they have to allow Perpetual customers to change version for free now? (Previously I thought only subscription was freely allowed to change...).

In my view, the same questions are asked. Inside, you are still prompted for the version you want to install. Simpler overall. If only one license code is needed, then THAT is a quick win.

Yes... this was part of the What's New information for v2023.

I had a concern about the license user count, and thought I asked for clarification about this issue (without a response) but I can't seem to find the post. (Because I think the C/S versions include an extra user in the count, for the service... where a Standard license used for Advanced / Premium would not have this... so is the originally-Standard client short-changed if they don't get updated keys? License count has always been clear as mud...).
