    Fyi, here's my **_rough_ summary/notes of what appears to be the primary new features in v2017**: ALE full text search for all fields in lookup, although that only searches 'begins with' oCan also search for empty fields (oper) Can search in role maint Setting in role maint to suppress ""remove {forms} from printer"" message Can xsfr docs between batches in various modules Customers can pay via ACH (via SPS/Exchange) oACH only transmitted upon journal/reg update Enhanced auto-complete (i.e., ""contains"") ofull text search (not just 'begins with') ?but need to periodically run Build Search Index, especially initially, for full text search capabilities can use L/M Task Scheduler (use diff sage 100 logon if can't use logon that has 'prompt for company code' enabled) oexpanded search fields, incl phone #, etc. (see below) but it's 'begins with' ospecial characters available (* ? -) see below, although I don't understand how/why you'd use hyphen to exclude in this capacity, i.e., via auto-complete. Wouldn't that essentially bring up a ton of records?-although it only brings up a small list to begin with

    So it appears the ability to ""search"" in Role Maint is only available for 100**c**. Lame.

    OK, the new quick search (auto complete?) is taking too much time to get used to. Installed v2017, ran the index utility and now users are complaining that it is ""wonky"". Looking at Brett's write up, it is supposed to be different. Now when they enter AB, they get a lot more than before (see attached). information is appearing that doesn't even have AB in the name. I am guessing that search is now looking in multiple fields for AB. Is this correct? How do you go back to the old way? Or set up so it is most like the old way? Two steps forward, not sure how many back yet? @BrettZimmerman where did you find the information that you posted the screen shots of? TIA

    @JeffSchwenk, pretty sure I grabbed those screen-shots from the v2017 videos on Sage U. And I just located the following in the Sage 100 Help System re: how to disable the Advanced version of auto-complete search: ""When you run the [Build Search Index] utility, a folder named Index_AC is created in the ../MAS90/MAS_System folder. If you delete this folder, the Basic version of auto-search is again used unless you run the utility again.
