Fyi, here's my **_rough_ summary/notes of what appears to be the primary new features in v2017**:
ALE full text search for all fields in lookup, although that only searches 'begins with'
oCan also search for empty fields (oper)
Can search in role maint
Setting in role maint to suppress ""remove {forms} from printer"" message
Can xsfr docs between batches in various modules
Customers can pay via ACH (via SPS/Exchange)
oACH only transmitted upon journal/reg update
Enhanced auto-complete (i.e., ""contains"")
ofull text search (not just 'begins with')
?but need to periodically run Build Search Index, especially initially, for full text search capabilities can use L/M Task Scheduler (use diff sage 100 logon if can't use logon that has 'prompt for company code' enabled)
oexpanded search fields, incl phone #, etc. (see below) but it's 'begins with'
ospecial characters available (* ? -) see below, although I don't understand how/why you'd use hyphen to exclude in this capacity, i.e., via auto-complete. Wouldn't that essentially bring up a ton of records?-although it only brings up a small list to begin with
