FYI, Epicor published their version 10.1 pre-release guide. From 10.0 to 10.1 release date, about 18 months. Now keep in mind some of the changes are small, i.e. schema etc, however, the documentation is 580 pages!

Documentation - what a unique idea!

So is the guide fulled with a lot of fluff or is it useful. Sage has one that called Customer Upgrade implementation guide. Sage add the last set of changes to the front so that the guide list all the version and the changes since business framework. (Like 8 releases worth)

Sage's last prerelease guide ""what new"" was 60 pages for V2015 (with a lot of screen shots)

Reading the v2015 Pre-release Guide was like listening to Deborah Nelson. 60 pages could have been condensed to 4 cogent ones.

It's an 'internal use' document at this point, but here is just the table of contents...

Perhaps I'm the lone wolf (Peter excepted), but I appreciate Deborah Nelson and her presentations. She is making the effort to actually communicate with us, which is a huge step for Sage. She and I e-mail back and forth on my questions quite often, so that may the reason for my positive opinion.

Perhaps I'm too snarky or on a sugar high this National Donut Day (mmmmm ... cinnamon donuts), yet I sense in a prior life Deborah was a pre-school teacher.

OK, unscientific poll: Agree with Bob's assessment that Deborah talks down to us like a preschool teacher - Like his comment. Agree with my assessment that at least Deborah is making an effort to communicate - Like my comment.

I'm with John. There's so much wrong at Sage that I relish the information and appreciate the efforts. It must feel like swimming with alligators everyday at Sage v

I think Deborah is much improved and seems more human than some of the past product managers. I think unless Sage can get their arms around the product technology - especially the ease with which people can upgrade without it throwing off 100 followup calls - then you will see a Sage 100 sale within 3 years.

Ouch, the pre school comment....... Has this been used before?? In San Diego, she mentioned to me that she had heard the comment from the group. If it was preschool teacherish, I much preferred that to the former Sage leadership who treated us like nimrods and imbeciles. She seems to be focused on making the product better, but after the many years of neglect, where do you start given the limited resources? @JohnHoyt Not in 2015. Perhaps you can ask Deborah when AP Manual Checks and PR Checks will go to Paperless. I made her aware of these omissions in January at the Inspire Tour.
