FYI, apparently in 4.30+, if AP DTR data is left out there and later on you do another ck run or ap inv entry - and update the DTR, it only updates ""that"" DTR and not other stuff from earlier. http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/infasp/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=515681

Write a comment...It's not only AP - it's also Sales Order and I think actually every module. There is a reason for it - it's WAD - I just can't remember the reason. BUT I've put in my newsletter several times for people to start making it a habit to go to the DTR in GL at least once a week and update.

It's something to do with the way paperless works, but I can't remember the details.

Probably because each journal is supposed to be it's own PDF, but I thought it actually started with 4.20 for a different reason. I was blaming it on Paperless for a long time, but I think the reason is something different.

This has become one of my standard troubleshooting tactics. I have the client check the DTR in the GL module to check for unposted entries.

Wondering if using the MAS 90 Task Scheduler to update the GL DTR after business hours would prevent these problems?

We get this every so often. Someone forgets to update a DTR and the controller tells me that AR or AP is out of balance. First thing I do is go to the GL and run the update.

LOL - will do. I send it in Word format to resellers so they can cut and paste into their own newsletters, and PDF to end users.

I would take a newsletter that you don't mind me cutting and pasting to put in my own newsletter. :) Do they put a link to you or put your name on it or what?

OK, everyone who wants a newsletter, send me the email address you want used. And no, I don't require a link - I just like to share. But y'all have to put up with ""found animal"" notices every now and then, and my monthly Computer Haiku...

Hey, does anyone know if you setup the DTR in Task Scheduler - will it print to Paperless if it's setup to do so? Or am I gonna have to test the darn thing? (Blech)
