I agree with Brett. The environment matters, like VM snapshots won't be an option if they don't use virtual servers.
Planning a backup and recovery strategy is not as simple as choosing a program. Business requirements need to be balanced with cost. Time to recover, versioning, how much data loss is acceptable in a crisis, data storage costs... One customer might want mirrored servers with hourly offsite backups, where another might be OK with nightly backups to a NAS device, and a weekly archive to a cloud service.
It is definitely not a Sage question, but one best handled by customer IT. We mainly just advise on what folders / data needs to be backed up... limiting our responsibility if something goes wrong.

There is no specific/recommended backup program for Sage 100 that I'm aware of, although many folks have their own preference. I would suggest the client go with what their IT folks recommend.
