Client replaced their server running Sage and containing the FRx sysdata folder.  When they launch FRx and select a company, an error displays that the old server path is not available.

Have looked high and low for the file to edit.  Nothing noted deep within the Appdata\frx folder and nothing jumping out in the sysdata folder.

Anyone have a note in their way back machine?  I suppose I could reinstall FRx on the workstation but hoping for a shorter cut.

    TIA

Can you get to the company information and see if they used a specific dsn rather than sotamas90?

Can't open the spec set to select it.  No special ODBC.

If you answer ok doesnt it ask if you want to select another location? If you've copied the spec set to new location then answer yes and browse to it.

    Jeff,

I believe there is an xml file in the user\appdata path.  If you know how the drive was mapped before, you could remap it to the new path.

Seems that this would be a good opportunity to get them off FRx!

@alan niergarth - so true!!  I keep hoping it will die.  Client has attended the 2 hour SI introductory class, but did not embrace the change.  Something about "prying her cold dead fingers from the FRx keyboard" comes to mind!!

Here is the scenario - Couple weeks back, the IT department decommissioned their old Sage server and asked for assistance moving Sage to the new one.  I suggested installing v2019 (which might have killed Frx) but they declined.  So the QAD way was to simply copy the Sage folder to the new server, change the pathing for paperless and the start up path for the Sage desktop icons .  They had v2018 STD and it was up in running in short order.  FRx started throwing the error noted above so they called me again for assistance.

After spending 90 minutes looking for the INI file to modify, I threw my hands up and suggested that they uninstall/reinstall FRx.  Threw an error uninstalling which made me think of the QAD switch.  Next step was to uninstall the Sage client.  Another error.  So we reactivated the original server which allowed us to uninstall both Sage and FRx.  Reinstalled Sage, Reinstalled FRx, Life is now good........... and Frx continues to chug.... and chug..... and chug.
