FRx Gurus - anyone left? Client is on TServer environment using published Apps for FRx and Sage. In Sage they can print to any network or local printer. In FRx, if we set the output to printer and set the printer to a network printer, the document prints to the local printer. However, if we set the output to Drilldown Viewer and within the DV, set the printer to the network printer, it prints correctly. I can duplicate with logging directly to the Tserver. User claims it worked correctly in the past few months but not now. FRx is on SP12. Specific Network Printer has permissions of 'Everyone' with 'Print' (no manage) along with Admins w/Full Control. I am an Admin. User can print a 'test' page to network printer via printers/devices. What is stopping FRx from printing directly to the network printer?

This is sort of ringing a bell with me. Is the local printer set as the default printer on the Tserver?

This probably won't be a whole lot of help, as I don't know FRx :) From an environment perspective, however, your description of what is currently setup seems to point to the issue stemming from FRx itself, and not the printer setup, so I would start there instead of changing permissions, and potentially breaking something you didn't intend to.

Justin: I'm guessing local is not setup on the Tserver? Any idea why that would be an issue?

I recall a situation where for some reason the default printer on the local machine was always where FRx printed to, even though it was being told to print elsewhere, and this was over RDP as well. I ended up having to change the default printer to the network printer on the local workstation.

I'll try it with him again, but I believe we did set the default to the network printer but come to think of it, FRx still showed the local in File/Print Setup. So maybe it didn't take effect. I also have another user trying with a different network printer to see what happens.
