From the files of our Evernote Notebook - ""Sage Partner Mailing"" -- In an effort to provide the best possible products and services to our customers, Sage has decided to discontinue Sage Abra eRecruiter. @ShawnSlavin - analysis of this when you have a chance. Seems that since this is a discontinuation that not many people probably used it?

We were pushed by Sage for years to move eRecruiter. However, our HR team researched it and Cyber Recruiter early on and would not jump on-board the Sage band wagon as we found the Cyber Recruiter solution a much superior product. Just goes to show that marching against the tide is not always the wrong way to go. Particularly when you think you have found a better mouse trap. I think we have over 25 Cyber Recruiter implementations in our portfolio.

@ShawnSlavin - sounds like you took the same approach (and ended with a similar result) as you did with BizNet versus Alchemex/Sage Intelligence.

I suspect there are some sites out there with eRecruiter implementations. However, most of the larger HRMS resellers we are familiar with went with Cyber instead. As such, I don't think it was that successful. This probably contributed significantly to the demise of eRecruiter.

@BrianRice the experience with eRecruiter was similar to our experience with SI early on. However, I don't think they worked out to the same result. With Cyber, it was a superior product in the beginning and continued to out-pace it's Sage rival. With BizInsights, Sage has invested a lot into the SI toolset to make it very competitive. I personally think they are very comparable now. If I were starting my evaluation today, I would probably go with SI. However, BizNet is making investments that may once again provide a significant advantage. Time will tell.

I know nothing of this market - why wouldn't Sage have just bought Cyber? I guess maybe it was a better deal to collect royalties than become the developer with overhead, etc.

Sage as a developer ... wait, what?
