From Kristen Baumgartner @ JDB Solutions: Hi Therese! Joe wanted me to reach out to you regarding our 90 Minds Membership. It is my understanding that there has been talk about converting JDB and Scanco's membership over to a joint ONE membership. I wanted to coordinate that with you from JDB's side. What we would need to do to make that happen? Would JDB just allow the membership to lapse so we can create the new ONE membership? Just want to make sure we are doing everything we should be. Thanks!!!!

I guess we knew that this was coming so now it is time to figure out our approach. If we look at other variations that might happen: a. Would we allow a marketing company - ERP VAR, Juice , for example - to join and showcase all their customers under a single membership? Me: No b. What about a company like Sage which has multiple product lines - Sage 100, 300, 500 and wants to join and perhaps market each line individually? Me: Yes, so long as it's all one company It seems like the core of our question is - do we allow marketing collaborations as opposed to legal entities? And how do we get around the question of whether it's an entity or a collaboration? Me: Collaborations are fine as sponsors, provided all the parties to the collaboration are members I feel as if our pricing for affiliates is designed around the single company / single product. If we had to design pricing for marketing collaboratives, pricing would be higher since multiple members could join together to save money on fees and make joint presentations. In substance, I believe One is really a collaboration of different entities, as evidenced by their continued marketing of the products separately. As such my feeling is that each entity in One pays separately for membership. If they want to split a sponsorship I have no problem - let all three of them squeeze into a 25 or 55 minute presentation.

My response to her (no answer from her yet): Hi Kristen, We had a discussion about that. Are you technically three separate entities marketing under ONE? Is ONE a legal entity? Just asking.

From Joe Bisaha who cc'd Shaun Boros from Scanco: Therese, we are not legally one company but we do market and sell under the ONE name. all our marketing efforts will all be under one.

Does this sound reasonable: Sponsorship and speaking slots are open to members and each person who is materially participating needs to be an affiliate, member. They can all chip in on a sponsorship, so long as all the participants are members. One will not be able to buy a single affiliate and then have: Scanco, JDB, and ACS speaking any more than we'd sell a spot to ERP VAR or Juice Marketing and allow them to parade 5 or 6 of their clients through a speaking slot.
