Fortis Credit Card Processing

    Does anyone have a Fortis success story?  Our Sage 100 account that switched from Paya to Fortis several months ago wants to know.  Fortis did a demo on click to pay and a customer portal.  After several months, neither one is working and programs are still being written.  The latest release last week was supposed to solve all the issues but only created more problems.  When the sales journal was updated in AR Invoice Data Entry, Fortis processed a credit card charge for any customer that was setup as payment type check, but had a credit card on file.  Caused lots of customer issues so had to reinstall a prior version of Fortis to stop inadvertent credit card charges.

    Hi Steve
    I have one client on Fortis Pay and they don't call us to tell us issues so I assume all is good for them but they are on an older version.

    Let me see what I can find out.

    Basic credit card processing works as expected.  Click to pay and the customer portal do not work.  Processing credit cards on invoices flagged for check payment just appeared on the latest release.

    That's right - thanks for clarifying again - I'll see what my customer says if they are even using those features which I doubt they are

    I believe what you are referring to was an issue related to the process of pulling the default payment of a customer. It was not correctly looking at the default payment in customer maintenance and instead used other payments stored for the customer.

    My customer just went live with v2023 PU1.  @Todd Martin, are you saying that this bug is fixed now?

    Thanks to Tom Nanci, Patty Benitez and the Fortis team for working hard to resolve all the issues and add new features. The 7.00.00.064 release for Sage 100 version 2021 is working as expected.  The Sage 100 account is now able to generate pdf click-to-pay invoices from either Invoice Data Entry or from AR Invoice History Printing.  The best part of this solution is the Customer Portal that allows the customer to view and pay any number of open invoices via either ACH or Credit Card. 

    From Customer Maintenance, you can specify whether to allow payment via ACH, Credit Card or both.  I'm not aware of another service integrated into Sage 100 that has this level of functionality!

    Thanks Todd.  No issues on going live on 2023 PU2.  We did find one issue with processing cards.  A negative invoice was created and charged.  The CC was charged for a positive amount.  It is in development and I am awaiting a fix.

     

    Otherwise, it is all good.
