  • 1.  Form option strings

    Hi All,

I am working on an upgrade from 2015 to 2019.    I had to uninstall an IT mod from the 2015 version which then required me to reinstall eBusiness.   Long story short, it appears that the install of ebusiness made Sage think that SP2 was not installed on the 2015 version.  Converting from a lower version can cause issues with printing.

Now I am having the issue where when printing forms you either get "no data selected for report" OR you get all form regardless of if they were selected or not.   Sage had posted a writeup that said there is a utility to fix the Quick Print version of this issue (there is not, I called to ask for it).    Doing a lot of digging and found that the utility edits the OptionsString in SY_ReportOption.   I was able to fix some of the forms by copying data from working forms/systems.   However, the Picking Sheet still will not work correctly.  I have asked Sage twice now for any sort of info on what the options strings are and what they do.  Some are pretty obvious (for example: DB_PRINTCOMMENTS$="P") but there are many very subtle differences & with these I am 100% that it is not tolerant of incorrect entries.   I did find that the main problem was that there was duplication in the option strings but that wasn't always the case.

If anyone has any further info on this, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you,
