For you Android Fans, Swiftkey IMHO is the best current smartphone keyboard around. Looks like they are upping their game:

I just downloaded Swiftkey 3 -- looks good. My pet peeve is ""missing that damn space bar"" when I type. So far Swiftkey has tested very well...

Well, I just gave it a good test run. Holy crap, ""BlindType"" has finally arrived from the labs. The key is to tune the haptic feedback to your liking. For me 14ms seems to be just about right on my Epic Touch

Swype is very good but you can't swype without looking at the keyboard

Another thing I don't care for with the swype keyboards is they're useless if your hands are wet. Not to say other other keyboards are a lot better but I have found more often than not if my hands are even damp then I have problems with Swype.

Still getting used to the Android after two months. Is this the answer to my typing nightmares? The keyboard is a major paid after using the BB for four years.

It's as good as you can get without a physical keyboard.

Is this something that you download from Droid app store? Do I get the free one or the $3.99 version? I am assuming for $3.99, you avoid the commercials????

The free one is a 30 day trial.

I got a copy of this from a friend the other day and so far it is the best Android keyboard app I have used. I used to run Swiftkey X but this is a big improvement over that.

The only thing that I find annoying with Swiftkey is that it's a little harder to use the microphone/voice recognition. If you're a Gmail user - Android is the only way to go IMHO

That is true. The Flexkey keyboard from Nuance sucks, but is the only one I've found that uses the Dragon engine which has amazing voice to text accuracy. Haven't had my new Galaxy SIII long enough (arrived last night) to see if ICS 4.x Voice to text is much improved beyond it typing as you talk (almost)

Just upgraded my SwiftKey this morning and one thing I am not thrilled with is the multiple punctuation on one key. Is there a a setting to change that layout?

It's more than just a pop up, swiping that key right gives you a ? and left gives you a !. It's pretty effective without using it as a pop up.

I agree on that. That is how they made the space bar alot bigger.

I do think it should be able to analyze the sentence (like socialcast) and guess at a question mark vs a period

Too bad they still haven't figured out how to use the ics type as you talk feature yet
