SGS Technology Group to Join Eide Bailly; Strengthen Technology Practice
Aug. 27, 2012 SGS Technology Group, of the firm Schmitt, Griffiths, Smith & Co. (SGS), will join Eide Bailly, a regional public accounting and business advisory firm, on Nov. 1st. This union will bring Eide Bailly's total staff to nearly 1,200, including 165 partners. Eide Bailly's total revenues for fiscal year ended April 30, 2012, were $158 million. SGS will add $6 million of revenue.
""Both firms currently have strong technology practices,"" Jerry Topp, Eide Bailly managing partner said. ""By combining our practices, we will offer a powerhouse of technology services and business applications to our clients."" Eide Bailly provides a variety of services that help businesses optimize the use of technology, increase revenue, decrease expenses and mitigate risk, including application development, consulting and advisory services, infrastructure services, information security (IT) and compliance, IT staffing services and managed technology services.
SGS is a leader in the sales, consultation, implementation and support of business software applications representing publishers such as SAP, SAGE and Intacct. Their services include business process analysis, workflow optimization, planning and design, project management and system configuration. They were recently named in the 2012 top 100 value-added resellers by Accounting Today and Progressive Media Group's Bob Scott's Insights.
While businesses in Utah will now have access to the resources of a larger firm, Stuart Tholen, president of SGS, maintains that clients will continue to receive the personal, attentive service they've come to appreciate.
