For clients still on Sage 100 Version 4.4 is there is a way to use Aatrix to print the 1099s? TIA

With W2's, we did a Crystal report of the data to Excel and uploaded it to Aatrix, maybe there's a way to upload 1099 data this way also.

Thanks @LeeGraham. I think there is but I think you can only eFile and the client wants to print. I'm wondering if you can print from the crystal 1099 in Sage 100.

For those on older version, offer to deliver them printed 1099's as a service. Then just copy their AP data files to your own system and prepare the forms for them. This is what I do for certain PR and AP clients that, for some reason, cannot upgrade yet.

Yes @RonGouveia. With their permission, I copy their data files to my 2014 system, convert the data, and prepare the forms, as needed. Sometimes you can simply email back to the PDF versions that they can print on their own.

I've been running a small W-2 service for about 7 years now for about 10 clients. I just pull their PR data to my server, convert to the latest version of MAS and run with it. I started doing this when the old PR W-2 forms were a PITA to align and print. Just faster to do on my side. Plus with electronic reporting, I would upload to the SSA for them. Now with Aatrix, it is so easy, I am thinking about just sending blank paper to the clients next year and let them do the work.

I didn't realize you could copy a single folder such as AP or PR and convert that. Certainly good to know.

@RonGouveia You'll still need a GL folder. Just copy the ABC company's GL (and CI) to the new company code, then copy in the client's AP or PR folder, click 'Activate' to register the module, then convert. As long as you're not posting anything, the mismatched GL won't matter.
