I have an upgrade I'm working on.  Moving from 2017 to 2019 with a new Virtual Server.  The first time I key in new Sales Order, there is a 5-12 second delay before the cursor moves to the PO line for us.  Similar delay on the first time I click Accept in that Sales Order.  All new \ next Sales Order work with out issue.  Until I close Sage and go back in, then it start all over.  Curious if anyone has seen this, or if there are any scans for AvaTAx I should be sure we are managing from an IT standpoint.   TIA

IT IS AVATAX!  Had a client with this issue and they were a big enough corporation they were able to bully Avatax into fixing it and they just got the fix installed today and it seems to be working.

Probably not yet - the programmer installed it this morning and they are probably going to want to run it a little to make sure they didn't break anything else.  Client was also having issues with all RMA credits showing up on the sales journal as invalid, needing a tax recalc - yet you run recalc and nothing changes - so I don't know if this is included in the fix or not.  I'm not the ROR for this client, so the actual ROR was dealing with Avalara.

    John,

Try installing the current code from DSD. We have been working with them on it and it should be out there. If not, it will be soon, I am sure.

It had to with the new line item entity codes that added the 12-15 seconds. It only does it on the opening of data entry.

We are down to 3-5 seconds now. Still testing in other areas, but Sales Order is significantly  better for us today after the updates

    Thank you

    Michael

Here's the link to grab the latest Avalara download. And since this seems to be updated weekly if you run into future issues you believe may be related to Avalara you might as well get into the habit of downloading and installing the latest connector since support is going to ask you to do that anyway.

This is becoming a problematic integration. We had ( have? ) an issue where sales order history totals were being written as zero. Another 90 Minder had an issue with invalid ship-to addresses appearing to cause a similar issue with history totals.

An Avalara connector update appeared to resolve our problem. We are still looking at the issue because it doesn't seem to be fully resolved but further testing is required ( I've learned that until you can reproduce the issue don't bother calling support unless you enjoy holding only to be told to call back when it happens again ).

Thanks for sharing the link Wayne.  I'll re-run this and see how it goes.
