First client that let their PR subscription lapse.

First client that let their PR subscription lapse. They sold their company and have no need to process PR, but DO need to be able to view/inquire for employment verification, etc. We were told that PR would become inquire only if subscription expired but the client is reporting they get ""your subscription is expired, contact Sage"" and can't get in AT ALL. Has anyone else experienced this or figured out the resolution? Calling Sage is on my list, but thought I would check here first!!

They will have access to the PR, Reports menu reports. That is it. If they need more then they need to go on the min PR sub plan $550/year I believe.

My personal experience with my demo system is that there is no access to PR once the payroll keys expire.

My guess is that they will need to purchase a 1 employee license for payroll. There is no read only mode for Payroll!! Get Outlook<https://aka.ms/qtex0l> for iOSo

I found that ODBC access to data (including VI) would continue to work.

What version is your client on? This is what Scott Brady emailed one of my clients: Based on your screenshot, you are on Sage 100 2015 with Product Update 3 installed (PU3). For you to have Read-Only Payroll, you must install the latest update for that version Product Update 5 (PU5) and also install the program fix LM5022T which can be access from the article I referred to KB82689.

Agreed. Without a subscription but with the appropriate updates, they should be able to retain read only access to select reports that could be used to pull information.

They are on v2017 with current PU as of December. Confirmed with the client that they can't run reports either. Looks like I will be calling Sage this afternoon! yay!

I think that once you are on a subscription with Sage Payroll it will lock down the PR modules. You might be able to use an old key from prior to he payroll subscription but it will switch back and it will lock down the PR every 30 days.

This seems to be a good overall KB on this issue - and it mentions 2017.1 - https://goo.gl/xx8fww READ-ONLY ACCESS for Customers who no longer own the Payroll Module: Customers who no longer own the Payroll module will have Read-Only access to their Payroll reports Payroll read-only allows access to most reports under the Payroll > Reports menu as well as the Quarterly Governmental Report and Employee Totals Verification report under the Payroll > Period End menu This READ-ONLY enhancement is available for the following Sage 100 versions ONLY: 2015 PU5 (LM5022t available for 2015.5) 2016 PU2 and higher (LM5020T, LM5019T, LM5018T available for 2016.2, 2016.3, 2016.4) **2017 PU1 and higher (LM5017T available for 2017.1)** Sage seems to mingle the fix for end users and for SAN/Resellers in some of the above so I'm unsure whether this LM5017T would apply or whether it may be incorporated into the latest 2017 PU. https://goo.gl/awL3Sw
