It was a great meeting today and wonderful to have a fresh perspective from @Gary Feldman as he viewed our year-plus plans for a 'finishing school' for ERP consultants. Everyone's comments and input were very productive and happy to see us moving to our goals.
The Academy, as it's become known in the short-hand used when I present the taskforce's feedback to the Board, a concept born out my reflections on 'what will 90 minds look like in 5 to 10 years' is starting to take its first steps!
As we discussed and agreed, we need to begin the next steps to for the class set up, marketing and registered with students. To have a class, we need instructors and attached you'll find the list we developed today during our meeting of potential presenters.
Check down the 'assigned' list and contact the potential presenters. We need to communicate, in our own words, the excitement to set up a much-needed place for potential ERP consultants, employees looking for promotion, career changers, and students to learn about the skills and rewards of ERP consulting. This product-agnostic program will begin with intros and depending on results, move into more in-depth topics. I've included our slide deck from today since it contains much or our background work too.
Also, I broke out the schedule into two options - 4 weeks, 2 classes a week, or 3 weeks two classes a week, please indicate which you like best.
We'll look at classes to start beginning of 4th quarter to mid-1st quarter. The idea of celebrating a graduating class at MOTM is appealing. As soon as you have an interested party for the topic, you can post the results and feedback and move to the next assigned topic. We'll only need one presenter per topic.
Any questions, thoughts, feedback, post it in this thread. THANK YOU!
