    Sage 100 2023 Standard getting an annoying popup (able to click past it and do whatever they need to) File ..\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_SagePEPTrack.M4T not found.

    Detail gives error 12 SY_SagePEP.pvc Line 727

    The file does in fact exist.  I tried replacing it with a copy from my system, but it won't let the copy happen - appear to be locked up by something.  Rebooting did not clear the lock, and IT says there is no mention of that file in the AV logs.  Real time scans have been turned off -file still locked.

    Any ideas?

    Maybe back everything up then try resolution 2 on the article attached to this post.

    When you rebooted, did the Sage 100 application service automatically start? Maybe that locked the file.

    Is PEP disabled?  If you can't get to the Admin console, maybe check/edit the flag using DFDM.

    (Disabling PEP is literally the first thing I do for every new install).

    I also disable PEP for every installation.  And when we adopt a client, it is the first thing I change.

    For every new install and upgrade:

    1) Disable PEP

    2) Uninstall Sage Update Advisor.

    I wonder if Sage even looks at the PEP results anymore?

    Last I heard (on a Sage City thread during a PEP outage where everyone was talking about disabling it), a Sage responder indicated they did use the PEP data (...and asked if everyone could turn it back on after the PEP server was fixed...). 

    I'm not sure how true that was, even at the time.
