File is Full error from posting in July
Yesterday we finally installed the fix to this problem. The file IM_ItemTransactionHistory.M4T reached the M4T.016 mark and produced a File is Full error. One of our 90Minds members knew what the problem was immediately (Providex file size limit) but Sage support said that wasn't true .Sage support did not know that there was a Providex file size limit and it took weeks for engineering to admit. The easiest thing to do at the time was to copy the files somewhere else as a backup and purge the history files. Not wanting to ""bother"" me at Insights and not wanting to call Sage, they took an empty file from a Copy Company, copied it into the live company and kept working. When i got home, I now was presented with two files: a backup copy of M4T.000 through M4T.016 and a new M4T essentially M4T.000.
What Sage did was purge the backup file to get the file size down to M4T.007 and then wrote a new utility to add the new M4T.000 to the end making it M4T.008.
