  • 1.  Field Services Prospects

    Its my understanding that there isn't a really "great" solution out there for Field Services in Sage 100. Is that correct? What are everyone's thoughts on the subject? Is there a need in the market for a new Field Services solution? Is there a solution out there that you typically recommend to customers who need field services? For prospects or current Sage 100 customers is there a go to solution or are you recommending another platform such as Acumatica with Field Services? I know there is MSI, Ascent, Job Ops... .trying to determine if it would make sense for us to create a new Field Service module or add Field Services functionality into our Service Center module.

    We have three customers that would be interested in field service if is offered as a module.

    Offered as a module is an interesting idea. When Sage made their deal to use JobOps as Sage Manufacturing, they chose not to include the Field Service and Dispatch module, so it remains as the only part of JobOps that Scanco licenses separately. I'm not saying it is the best solution, but Sage obviously did not understand what it is.

    Biz-Tech Services has a Field Service Management module, so you may want to check that out. I have not seen it in operation, but it seems like something that is more accessible than many of the other packages. Home - Biz-Tech Services
