This situation was happening on 2.19.4 and also after applying 2.20 & 3 hotfixes.  Employees were well over the Fica limit and also subject to the add'l .9% for Medicare prior to the upgrade.  Now they are testing in v2019 and when we do the tax calculation, it's still calculating Fica @ 6.20% and Medicare @ 1.45% but not calculating the add'l Medicare @ .90%
    Check date is 12/16/19.
If I change the check date to 1/15/2020, it all calculates correctly.  Are customers running into problems that the system isn't looking at YTD earnings/taxes for Fica/Medicare Add'l limits?  That could be ugly.

    Ideas?

    Hi Nancy,
I'm having this same issue with a 2017 to 2020 conversion.
Did you ever discover what was going on?

If I'm thinking of the correct customer, they were not calculating Employer Fica/Medicare on Earnings in legacy (I know, totally dumb, but they manually calculated them for deposits and 941) so the Employer Wages for Fica/Medicare were $0 along with the Capped Wages after upgrade.  We ended up moving forward with the upgrade after a few 2020 checks were processed in legacy, and then fixing Wages/Tax in the Tax Summary in v2019 payroll for just the employees that are going to hit limits in 2020 (to save consulting dollars).
    Hopefully this makes sense?
