Failed to update setup engine executables. Program will exit."" when trying to install Crystal Designer 2011 on a Server 2008 Ent SP2. Did a little digging, renamed a setup folder and morphed to this error: ""Failed to update cache for execution. Program will exit"". We were able to install on a workstation so it's not the end of the world, but it is annoying and I would like to get it installed.

Are you logged into the server as the Administrator?

Yes on the Admin and dang, I don't know on the A/V. Sometimes I surprise myself with the questions I don't ask. I also sometimes think when I'm working with the IT guy that they know what they are doing :-) I'll check on that and let you know.

The check list is sooooo long of action items prior to take off. Amazing that we don't crash and burn more often......
