Expanded Customer Number Option Missing I upgraded a customer from 4.4.8 to 4.4.10 and now the Check box to allow Expanded Customer numbers is missing from the screen - not just greyed out, it's not there. No customizations, no enhancements - and happening in all companies. Reset the panel, reran the wksetup but no change. In Customizer selection the field can be seen and Option to Hide or Disable is not checked. An expanded number can be entered. Can anyone shed any light on the problem?

Once you expand the field, there is no going back so my thought is that since you can expand the field, my money is on internal coding to make it disappear. Not sure why you saw it in .8 but can't in .10.

The HELP on that field sort of sounds like what @JeffSchwenk says: Warning If you select to expand the customer number in the Wizard, the Allow Entry of Expanded Customer Numbers check box in Accounts Receivable Options is disabled and cannot be changed.

Thats the problem. On our in-house 4.4.10 install, after I turned on the expanded Customer number, the the menu item is still visable but greyed out. It cannot be selected again. On the customer 4.4.10 install, the menu item is missing altogether. So if I needed to turn that feature on in another company, I don't have the ability, it's not there.

So it isn't visible in companies where the expanded functionality is OFF?

That is correct. What is really strange is that when selecting AR Setup, AR Options there is a blip of a screen where I can see the field for just an instant and then when the screen comes into focus, the screen is missing the field. It is like the screen is being overridden by the old screen version.

Is there an AR_Options.M4L under your \mas90\AR\Custom folder OR in the mas90\Links folder either AR_Options_UI.pvc or AR_Options_bus.pvc?

Is there an AR_Options.M4L under your \mas90\AR\Custom folder - YES. mas90\Links folder either AR_Options_UI.pvc or AR_Options_bus.pvc - NO

Alnoor is probably getting his 38th or 39th wink this early in the AM. Rename the AR_option.m4l file that you found. It is probably overriding the default panel view.
