HI All,   I have a perplexing issue with an Excel Query.   I originally built the spreadsheet in Excel 2016 32bit.  It queries WO1 and WO2 brining it the required component Quantities.  Works perfectly in this setup.    However the user than needs to run it is on an RDP server (server 2012 R2) with Office 365 64 bit.  I updated it to use a 64bit version of the ODBC driver.  Sometimes it will work the first time I run it but then I start getting "internal error" messages.  I made sure the RDP server had all updates (thinking it may be a .Net issue).   I am stumped.   Any thoughts or suggestions?

Maybe try disabling all local resources and devices within your RDP config?

What component is putting out the "internal error" message? Excel? ODBC? Windows? Have you checked the Event Viewer?

If it fails consistently with the same criteria and data then I would suspect that MAS 90 is unable to handle the data (maybe toggle the "Null Date" option). If it's inconsistent with the same criteria and the same data then I would suspect Excel. I see a lot of instability with Excel with both (32 & 64 bit) version 2016 which is the same as Office 365 (and more recently 2019).

Remove the 64bit Office and install 32bit.

We had this with a site that is HEAVILY dependent on Excel queries. The 64bit driver randomly throughs this error. We found no consistency. One workbook in particular has several queries and would work fine for days, then choke on different queries.

Installed 32bit Office and no error since.
