Excel help. I have the main account on sheet A and the full account on sheet B. I am trying to do a sumif but can't figure out how to do the criteria without creating a column on sheet B with just the main account. Is there a way?

sumif(left(sheetB!cell)=? haven't tried it though.

Thanks, @NancyHanson - right after I posted this, I decided there was no real reason not to just add the column to my container, and all is well now.

Pretty much what Nancy Hanson said but I think you have to hit ctrl+enter at the end so that it's an array function.
