  • 1.  Error installing Sage Intelligence - The files for installation requirement Microsoft SQL CE 3.5 SP2 could not be found.

    I am moving a customer's Sage v2013 and Sage Intelligence (old school with separate installer) from one server to a new one in Azure.  The OS is windows 10.  I am getting an error:  The files for installation requirement Microsoft SQL CE 3.5 SP2 could not be found.  We have done the usual stuff:

    Uninstalled antivirus
    Added link to firewall exclusion list
    Copied exe to local drive and installed as admin

    I am at a loss.  Any additional thoughts?

    Someone had a similar issue but not sure if it was resolved.

    Can you download the CE 3.5 and install it?  I think it's one of the prerequisites.

    Thanks Nancy.  We did that (both 32 bit and 64 bit flavors) as indicated on the Microsoft website.

    By any chance is .Net 3.50 enabled on the machine?  Shot in the dark, but I have seen this cause some problems when not enabled.

    .Net 3.5 is activated and it still does not work.
