  • 1.  Error 26 PR_EFILING.PVC Line 0343 When Running Form 941 After Installing 2019 IRD

    ​I have run into an issue with several clients getting an "Error 26, Variable type invalid, Program PR_EFILING.PVC, Line 0343" when running Form 941 after installing the 2019 Interim Release Download.  All of these clients are on version 2017 PU6, though I don't have confirmation that the issue is related to this version only.   Sage can replicate this issue and will let us know when they have a resolution.  I just wanted to make you aware of this.

    Here is the workaround from Sage Engineering:

    Manually delete the bad record from SY_PayrollEFilingMapping.M4T

     1.) In DFDM, in File Name field enter SY_PayrollEFilingMapping.M4T
    2.) Select look up and select STPIMID record and click Delete
    3.) Error should no longer occur
    ​

    Fix is available, but good luck finding it on the KB.  There's an announcement on Sage City but the hyperlinks don't work.  I did a KB search on PR5011T to get it.
