Upgraded customer from 2017 to 2020 Standard in last day or so.
User #1 is getting an Error 200 PR_PayrollTaxCalc_UI on machine A

Had user #2 log into Sage on Machine A and received same error.
User #2 can log into Sage on Machine B and not get the error.

Advised IT to have user #2 log into machine A with her windows login, they claim they still received the error.
    They have uninstall/installed wksetup.

    Machine A is on domain.
permissions on Sage folder are \\domain users = full control

    Thoughts?

Does the error 200 say afterwards what module is locked or missing? I've been seeing these errors in Sage 200 when there is a module sage is expecting to see that either isn't setup OR is not installed on new system but was on the old one.

Re-reading this – what happens if user 1 uses Machine B?

I would check AV and windows defender to make sure something is getting blocked when it's trying to do the update.

It is probably trying to connect to the SPA Tax Calc web service (not used in v2017). Ask IT to whitelist all the endpoints in Library Master / Setup / URL Maintenance.

Ugh!  So the internal person that kinda (but not really) didn't clarify how the User #1 & User #2 logged on.  They only logged into Sage and not the Machine as different users.
Connected with external IT and compared profiles, found a group User #2 was in that User #1 wasn't.  He said User #2 had admin permissions to write to the server?  I didn't elaborate or ask more questions.
User #1 is now able to run Tax Calc Successfully after fixing the profile.

This can be moved to General Support.
    Thanks
    Nancy
