This was after reinitializing AP_20 and AP_21 due to error message posted earlier today with triple lines on stub. We restored 2 files from last weeks backup when we knew checks printed (properly). It is only happening in one company to our knowledge.

Wait, wait, wait! So you reinitialized the AP_20 and AP_21 files then reprinted the checks, correct? Which 2 files did you restore from last week?

APWJDA and APWUDA New error 12 with the exact message given in the above support case and version.

What are APWJDA and APWUDA? I don't have an older reference.

Here's what I'd suggest - rebuild AP files then rebuild AP sorts and try the update again. (Of course, copy the data to a backup company to be on the safe side.) If this doesn't work, you might want to go back to the original APJDA and APWUDA and then rebuild sorts for AP. Hope this helps!

Those files are AP update programs. If it is working in other companies, then it's not the program files but a data issue.

Just reaching but have you tried copying the data to a new company code and updating it? Does manual check entry update correctly?

Is there any more info available about the error 12?

It is only affecting one company out of 20+ active companies in use so I think the Error 12 is data related. They were able to print checks and the error occurs when updating the check register. I am getting details on the specific invoices paid to ensure that they do not show as being paid and will then wipe out the selection files was my thought. Does the APWVBH.soa sort file exist? (I'm assuming VBH is the company code.) If not, you may have to manually reinitialize it. (Did you rebuild the sort files earlier?)

Yes VBH is the company code. I did rebui;d the sort files and the APWVBH file does not exist. It is not in the list of files to reinitialize. How do you ""manually"" initialize it? Create a blank file in notepad with the name?

No, in Reinitialize Data Files, before you enter in the company or module, click the Manual button in the upper right. Type in APWVBA.SOA. The type, key size, etc. should autofill. Click Proceed.
