Client is on v2022 Standard.  Server crashed two days ago.  After IT restore, they're now getting the below error message when clicking Print for journals (they are set up for Paperless Office).  Issue does not occur with Preview.  Error message occurs on server as well.

    Steps taken so far:
    1. Renamed SY_Workstation and SY_Console (this did clear up an error message when opening Master Console).
    2. Ran pl_advancedoptions_ui, uninstalled, reinstalled, and printed a successful test page.  (both server and workstation)
    3. Rebuilt all key and sort files.
    4. Ran a Sage 100 wksetup repair.

Any thoughts on further troubleshooting steps I can take?

Looks like it's one of the system files PL_Registerxxxxx

I assume you only rebuilt files available via the Utilities Menu - may need to use *UFAR, if it's even possible to rebuild those files

    Hi Susan,

An Error 106 or 107 usually refer to a corrupt file.  In this case, it looks like it could be PL_JournalPDFLog, but it could be any of the PL_Journal... files (the error cuts the file name out)
Can you go through Data File Display and Maintenance to those files and see if you can open them?  Verify the record count in each file, then do a key lookup to make sure the record count matches for each file.
If so, the files are most likely correct and it might be a permissions issue.  To verify that quickly, just close Sage and reopen it as Administrator, then try to print again.

If the file(s) is/are corrupted, might need to restore those files from a backup.

    Hope that fixes it.

    Thank you,

Try running the Custom Office utilities to Rebuild Customizer Log and Update Custom Panels to Current Level.

@Beth Bowers I perform the *ufar utility and for each file it said the file doesn't exist.  @Javier Guzman I'm not sure what a "key lookup" is, but I was able to access the files and records in DFDM.  Per Doug's suggestion, ran the Custom Office utilities.  I've been logged in as Windows Admin the entire time, and Everyone has Full Control of the Sage folder.

I'm going to ask I.T. to restore those files from backup.  I'll be on the way to the airport in 45 minutes, so this will become "someone else's problem" at least for the foreseeable future!

    Thanks for all your suggestions.

Do they have batches turned on? if so can you try moving the invoices to a different batch a few at a time and see if you can update those few invoices? if so keep doing that until you find the "culprit" invoice. if none of them will go through the update process, then restore from backup might be the next thing to try (but in your backup/test company first)

Ignore my post/recommendation about rebuilding custom office.  I misinterpreted the issue.  I thought it was an error 65 accessing a screen.

Hi @Susan Pawlowic - did you get this resolved?

If not, I would just add 2 things. 1, per @Javier Guzman's suggestion (hey Javier, long time..), you should be able to click in that line in the error message and scroll to the end to see which file is the problem. In my 2022 system I have 4 (see below).

Also, per @Beth Bowers's suggestion, are you saying you ran *UFAR on the files that start with "PL_Journal.." and UFAR couldn't find them?

I just tested on my system and I can rebuild them with UFAR (I usually copy and paste the entire path into Ufar as it's a tricky little dickens):

    The 4 PL_Journal.. files I see:

Sorry for the lack of communication, been on the road.  I had to leave for the airport, so my colleague took over, and when he typed *UFAR followed by the PDF log file name, he did not get the "File Does Not Exist" error message that I did, and it fixed the issue.  He had the magic touch.
