End user has wage garnishments. They are going to start deducting $1.50 from each paycheck that has a wage garnishment. Is there any way to tie the $1.50 charge to the garnishment deduction so that all checks with garnishments automatically also get the $1.50 deduction?

You mean like a ""convenience fee""??? Doug, this is PR you are talking about. Scripts don't even work. I think the best they can do is train the PR person to be diligent. Perhaps run the deduction report to compare the number of garnishments to the number of ""convenience"" fees???? Is the effort required worth it for the amount of fees involved..... But a good thought for PR v3.0....

I'm not sure this is even legal. Best have them check with their CPA or attorney. But assuming it's ok, can't you have a deduction based on another deduction?

It is legal. This is the maximum allowed under California law. That is my question: Can a deduction be contingent on the existence of another deduction?

@JeffSchwenk are you talking about the v3.0 that's coming out in 2035?
