Email I just got from Sage: ""Sage 100 ERP 2014 Q3 tax table update, Sage 100 ERP 2014 product update 3, and Sage 100 ERP 2013 product update 7 will be available on June 30, 2014. In addition to program fixes, the product updates contain the ability to win more business from government and business customers while reducing transaction fees when processing corporate credit cards (P cards), using the Level 3 credit card processing enhancement. Also included in the product update for Sage 100 ERP 2014 are Sage Advisor enhancements that provide more individual user-role context. Please note that product update 2 for Sage 100 ERP 2014 and product update 6 for Sage 100 ERP 2013 were released earlier this spring to customers participating in the VIP program. Email Sage 100 ERP product management for more information on how you can participate in the VIP program for future releases."" Does this mean that some updates are now only available to a select few? What is this VIP crap? Is that where they force you to turn on the extra spyware?

That would be that SU 2 that both Wayne and I had been looking for. WTH?

I emailed Sage on this to let them know of our shock and displeasure and provide them an opportunity to explain the thought process.

Are any of you in the VIP testing program and had you heard of this apparent new policy?

This is absolutely outrageous. I am livid right now.

This is Sage's reply. I'm still rubbing my eyes in disbelief: Hi Wayne, Certainly. Nothing was held back. If we did not release for the VIP program then it would be Sage 100 ERP 2014 PU2 being released on June 30th. I would be happy to have a quick call with any or all of you to talk about the VIP program. Just let me know and I will setup a conference call.

I am getting the impression that VIP is for customers only. Nothing held back ,the email says PU3 and 7 are being released June 30th. We just skipping 2and 6 ???? Crazy !!!

What does one have to do to be a VIP reseller (besides sell)????
