This is not directly related to the original message however I just noticed this in the Sage KB:
Microsoft Granular Delegated Administrative Privileges (GDAP) renewal email
Customers with a Microsoft license purchased through Sage have to renew their GDAP relationship.
Description
Starting from December 2024, Sage will send a GDAP renewal email to all the customers that have an expiring GDAP relationship. The email will walk the customer through the renewal process.
The GDAP relationship will continue to renew automatically every year until it's cancelled. This email is coming from Sage Software, not Microsoft.
I ran this through ChatGPT and although I realize 85% of readers will know what this means, I'm pasting the explanation for anyone who may search in the future and stumble across this message:
GDAP stands for "Granular Delegated Administrative Privileges."
In simple terms, it means that Sage can be granted more precise and limited access to manage parts of your Microsoft services. Rather than having broad control, Sage only gets the specific permissions it needs to assist you. These rights might include tasks like helping you manage users, adjust settings, or troubleshoot issues in your Microsoft environment. The goal is to give Sage enough access to support you without handing over unrestricted control.
This may be related to the Connector which I believe required Sage to have some type of GDAP.
