Email from Holly Coates at Sage at 12:53PM today - Starting 06/18/2017, Sage will no longer match Sage 100c pricing to Sage 100 perpetual. It's important for customers to have all paperwork submitted by the close of business on 06/18/2017, in order to guarantee this promotion. Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks. 3.5 business days' notice! Did they bring Joe Langner back??? Geez!!!

Here is my pending response back to her, my RM and Rob Larsh..... It was good knowing everyone! Really??? And is it going to stick this time??? It was supposed to end on 3/31 and I prodded a couple clients to renew early. Then it got extended. Then again. Now Sage is cutting it off **MID MONTH** with five days heads up? Kind of reminds me of Chicken Little. The sky is falling Do I hold my breath? Laura just HATES it when I **snark**, but this is just another example where I wonder if Sage has a long term plan that we can count on? Sage announces CRM promo pricing at Summit, then they don't, then they do through 9/27. How does any reseller plan? I have been moving my renewals to 100c as they come up. I think if you look at my track record, in the past nine months, I have flipped over 90% of my customers over to 100c. I have numerous ones coming up in July and August. If this promo does indeed end, Sage is going to lose out on these accounts going to 100c. Which means, Sage is going to miss out on the opportunity to lock these accounts in to the customer for life mode. Flipping these accounts at BC renewal time is easy to do for **me**! Yes, I do have to spend about an hour with each client fully explaining the benefits. Plus about another hour chasing the paperwork through Sage's fax maze. But in the end, they come around to 100c. Sage on the other hand, not doing so well (again, not a knock to Holly, she is wonderful). But one of my clients who renews directly with Sage is totally confused. They signed the paperwork to renew at 100c but apparently, have not sent in all the required paperwork. I don't think they realize what they did, but I am trying to get to the bottom of it. Just my two cents but another **BAD** move by Sage! What is the down side to leaving this promotion open vs. not providing some incentive for moving to 100c? I don't see one!!

How long before Sage ""un-grandfathers"" (aka - unreasonable price increase masked as something that the customer should welcome) (a) Concurrent users vs named users, (b) Added fee for Advanced or Premium edition as part of 100c. As with most Sage policies, this is Sage thinking with their spreadsheet and not their heads.

Considering all of the issues they've had over the past year with the payroll split and incorrect reg keys, I cannot believe they had the nerve to throw in a price increase! I wish they could get everyone where they need to be and get the product working like it should before they continue to gouge everyone with a price increase! I have two clients threatening to leave because of all of the issues they've had with the renewals. This has not been a smooth transition and they are still not taking responsibility for dropping the ball last year! I am on I believe my fourth manager now and the three before were not helpful at all, in fact two were rude to my clients. My newest one is unfamiliar with most everything I've tried to get help with and shifts me onto someone else. How soon is retirement?

It really makes zero sense from any sort of ""Customer for Life"" messaging. Why not focus on making 100c so much better than 100 that your long-time 100 customers want and embrace trading in their perpetual license for a subscription? Until that happens, thank them for their continued business of staying on a current business care plan. There is little I can do by end of day Friday to push this stupid deadline, anyway.

6/18 is Sunday. Are they going to take orders Saturday and Sunday? I think this e-mail must be the work of Russian hackers.
