Email Configuration

    I have a customer that the email they want to configure is too long for the email field in company maintenance. Has anyone encountered that?

    You mean the body of the email (message)?  Check with @Todd Martin.  His company has a paperless email enhancement that may work.

    v2019 increases the email body field size, to allow for the extra characters (since they added HTML for email body text).

    For the email address field in company maintenance, I have a note that they expanded the SMTP password field in v2016, but nothing for the email address... in v2019 it is 50 characters.

    Looks like an upgrade to v2019 or having the IT staff set up a shorter email address for the person and redirect all incoming mail to the longer email address.

    Keep in mind what you are looking at in Company Maintenance isn't the 'From', it is the user that can login to the smtp server to relay mail.

    Add an email only account ($5/month) and grant that user 'send as' permission for every email that needs to send 'from'. 

    From has 50 characters and would fit the email as the from.
