I understand the issue, now, thank you for the example
@Wayne Schulz. It would be more effective to use the tools provided by the HL system,
tags, and mark threads that are urgent with the hashtag urgent (#urgent). This eliminates the cross-posting in your example.
Tags are designed to be searchable, easy to follow and easily retrieved. Formal tags are listed in the Browse discussion without having to initiate a search and if you do search, you can search for threads that include the tag(s). I recall that you can drilldown from a tag, but I've not tested it for while. I'll add some tags to this post and see what I can find via search and drill-down. Also I've attached a one-page document on using tags in HL.

If it's urgent support - it goes into the urgent community only. No need to post into routine Sage 100 as well. That creates duplicate posts which attract different sets of answers and make searching problematic ( I don't think searches are returned by full threads but rather by keyword hits on individual messages - which get fragmented during cross-posting). If it needs to reach every community member it goes into 90 Minds community where everyone already is a member.

Cross posting allows members that may be in separate communites by security group settings to enjoy posts in thier relative community. It's a good feature when used appropiately but I can see how its use could be frustrating @Wayne Schulz. Higher Logic is a platform used by 1,000s of organizations and features that may not be apparent in our very small organization setups are obvious as a need for communites larger in size.
