EDI Export fails - (last error): module J/C is not on file

  • 1.  EDI Export fails - (last error): module J/C is not on file

    Posted 01-10-2019 10:47

We have one PC running Windows 10 that was recently added.  They use True Commerce EDI and Sage 100 Advanced v2017.  Historically, this is due to the Avatax integration and register_for_com failing to register.  That has been registered properly.  Looking for any direction

Had someone with a P/R module missing error in Crystal yesterday and she solved it by rebooting.  Her machine was also a new machine.

Does export pull the data out of S/O Entry? Go to the actual machine where True Commerce is running (probably a server) and start up Mas90 style. Then try to go into S/O Entry or wherever the data is being exported from and see what error you get. I'm thinking you you didn't register AvaTax DLLs from the True Commerce machine itself. #Avalara

just a quick update: still no luck.  Reboot - no good.  register_for_com is registering (image here).  Continuing the fight - wanted to update you. Thanks for the feedback.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse but verify you are at the machine that's actually running the True Commerce service.

Yes, we can do some functionality.  We can sync and import (from Sage).  But if we attempt to export (into Sage) we get that message.  So the integration is in place and 'working'.  But failing on write to Sage (SO Imports)

Does the file that gets imported to Sage SO get created in the folder?  if so, is Allow External Access checked in company maintenance?

Issue is, two PCs work. One doesn't.  Allow External access is checked.

Have you eliminated user permissions?  Log into the local machine that doesn't work as administrator and/or configure it to log on as one of the users that uses a machine that TC works on.

Also along the lines of what Doug said, from the non-working PC, start up Mas90 style (see if it even lets you do that) and then go into S/O Entry to see if an error appeared there. We know it's not AvaTax but maybe it's permissions or something similar.

Interesting. I get this error when we log in to run Sage 100 SO in MAS90 Style.  However, customer has been able to enter Sales Orders. I'll look into how to update this.

Microsoft .NET v2 and WSE2 must be installed prior to using the Avalara AvaTad Adapter.

Looks like this this is documented in Avalara FAQ. I think it's saying to install .NET Framework 3.5 from Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs?  Microsoft.NET v2 and WSE 2

Then after that, run the BAT file to re-register for the last time hopefully.

    FIXED! #EDI

Alnnoor, hats off.  Running in MAS90 Mode (shoudl have tried that I suppose) threw the error for the .NET update.  Once we updated .NET we were golden.
