Does anyone here have experience with the Sage 100 eBusiness Web Services Module?  We have a client interested in doing their own integration from their SalesForce.com to Sage 100, for configured sales orders.  My question is:  Other than assistance in installing this module, and providing the schema for data elements; do you believe we will need to provide any additional services?

They already use ROI-InSynch, and for some reason, do not want to integrate this new process, with them; and instead want to go this direction.  Thoughts?  Comments?

Have a client that purchased Web Services to integrate a WooCommerce site, Web developer couldn't get it to work. I was able to confirm that it was install correctly. Developer didn't understanding API interface, which is poorly documented. They changed direction and went with ROI, which works flawlessly.

Huge learning curve for Web Services, if this is something they want to learn on their own and implement. This also isn't getting any love from Sage. Cost wise, if you factor in the time to learn Web Services, Cost for ROI might be less. Odd they want to add an additional component.

    What Myron said.

The problem with facilitating the connection between the customer and eBusiness is that there's a perceived guarantee/warranty no matter how much they tell you they will manage the integration on their own.

Appreciate both of your responses.  I am meeting with them today and will try and figure out why they want to go this direction. Thank you @Myron Stevenson and @Wayne Schulz

Key here is that there are no plans for Sage to improve the Web Services module. It is limited to what it can do. Most programmers seem to have an issue with it since there isn't a lot (or any) real documentation about it. This is why we created our SDE product. Programmers didn't have to figure out how to build an order, they would just send us the info and we would do all the heavy lifting.

I take it you did look over the webServices.PDF in the documents folder. It does have some programming reference there. You can see if their programmer wants to dive into it or not.

thanks @Todd Martin.  yes, I found that in the install DVD, and another longer document on Sage's knowledgebase portal.  I am thinking it will not be enough information for them, but I may be wrong.  Let's see what they think after the new year.  And I may reach out to you for some consulting if you have an idea and the experience on how to help this client.

Their main reason is:  1) they want the orders in Sage 100 "almost immediately'.  Waiting 15-minutes for ROI was not acceptable.
